Insects are Far More Creepy When it Comes to Sex

The Australian Museum has discovered that traumatic insemination, a practice of males piercing the female body cavity and injecting sperm into the bloodstream, is more common in insects than previously thought. "...One female developed a corkscrew tunnel in the side of her body to match the male's genitalia."
